چکیده
Objectives: This study aims to calculate and compare Glasgow Coma Score, International Program on Chemical Safety Poisoning Severity Score Acute Physiology Chronic Health Evaluation 2 score in predicting outcome of the patients with organophosphate compound poisoning. Material Methods: A total 100 were taken from December 2018 2020. (GCS), (IPCS PSS) (APACHE 2) each patient calculated compared. In this study, we compared GCS, IPCS PSS APACHE Results: Of patients, 70 male 30 female. Mortality was 15% study. found be more accurate than GCS OP Conclusion: requires arterial blood gas analysis which might not available at all primary health care centres. At such places, is better option for patients.

Predicting outcome in acute organophosphorus poisoning with a poison severity score or the Glasgow coma scale.
BACKGROUND Organophosphorus (OP) pesticide poisoning kills around 200,000 people each year, principally due to self-poisoning in the Asia-Pacific region. AIM We wished to assess whether patients at high risk of death could be identified accurately using clinical parameters soon after hospital admission. DESIGN We evaluated the usefulness of the International Program on Chemical Safety Poiso...
متن کاملstudy of Glasgow coma scale score and QTc Interval in prognosis of Organophosphate compound poisoning
We assessed the applicability of the Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) and the QT interval (QTc) to predicting outcomes in patients with organophosphate (OP) poisoning. In the hospital setting, QTc and GCS were monitored in each patient at admission. Patients with respiratory failure were compared to patients without these complications, and mortality was compared between groups. We found that the group...
متن کاملAssociation Between Serum Electrolyte Disturbances and Glasgow Coma Scale Score in Patients With Diffuse Axonal Injury
Background: Appropriate clinical measures to prevent secondary brain damage in traumatic brain injury are of critical importance. Objectives: This study aims to investigate the relationships between serum electrolyte disturbances and Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) score in patients with Diffuse Axonal Injury (DAI) at the time of admission and discharge. Materials & Methods: In this retrospective cr...
متن کاملPredicting the outcome in children with head trauma: comparison of FOUR score and Glasgow Coma Scale.
BACKGROUND Because of the limitations of the Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS), many scoring systems have emerged and been compared with GCS. Herein, we investigated whether the Full Outline of Unresponsiveness (FOUR) score is better than GCS in predicting morbidity and mortality in children with head trauma. METHODS Patients 2-17 years of age who admitted to the emergency department with head trauma ...
متن کاملThe principle of parsimony: Glasgow Coma Scale score predicts mortality as well as the APACHE II score for stroke patients.
Although the development and use of severity-of-illness measures has gained widespread enthusiasm, uncertainty remains as to the optimal measure for stroke patients. The Health Care Financing Administration recently derived a severity-of-illness measure based on the APACHE II system to explain differences in Medicare mortality rates among hospitals treating stroke patients. We hypothesized that...
